Set up the flat
Start a group for the flat and add your flatmates. Everyone adds their own UPI ID, so whoever pays the landlord can be paid back in a tap.
Bills that repeat
Set up the rent, the maid and the Wi-Fi once: how much, who pays, how it’s split, and how often. A bill can repeat every week, fortnight, month, quarter or year.
When one is due, Mull doesn’t just add it. It asks, with the amount ready to change, because rent goes up, the electricity is never the same twice, and people move out. Whatever you confirm becomes the new normal, so next month asks for the new number.
If nobody opens Mull for a while, it doesn’t pile up the months you missed. It asks for the one that’s due.
When it isn’t equal
The bigger room pays more? Split the rent by percent or by shares. Someone away for a month? Each month’s rent is its own expense, so change that month’s split and leave the rest alone.
A worked example
Ananya, Kabir and Sahil share a flat. Ananya has the bigger room, so she pays 40% of the rent.

When someone moves out
Settle up with them first. Then change the repeating bills to the flatmates who are staying. The bills they already shared stay in the flat’s history, because those were real.

Set it up as repeating anyway. When it’s due, put in this month’s amount before you confirm it.
Do all my flatmates need Mull?
